Air Jordan 1 “Rebellionaire” Undefeated Exclusive Release

Michael Jordan’s rebellious spirit is what drove him to defy NBA rules and wear his footwear on the NBA court. From there, the foundation to the Jordan Brand was set, with wheels in motion long before the idea of a standalone brand was a possibility. The upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Rebellionaire” connects that moment to the future success of the brand, a blueprint that many of today’s most compelling artists are following as they write their own stories.

As part of an exclusive launch, Undefeated spotlights four LA-based creatives across multiple concentrations that embody that same rebellious spirit. Uber Lopez Enamorado, Saj Issa, Henry Fey, and AJ Girard have each made a name for themselves, with their success fueled by their devotion to community building. Together with Undefeated, they’ll host a youth art workshop in partnership with the Mi CASA After School Program.

Undefeated will exclusively launch the shoes on March 12th, 2022 at their La Brea location only via a locals only raffle for LA Country residents. An online raffle will go live at 2pm PST on March 9th (link will be updated). A wider U.S. release of the shoes is scheduled for a later date.

South Central’s Uber Lopez Enamorado is more than just a painter, illustrator and designer – he’s a rebel in the fine art world, pushing his community forward by breaking the rules of whose stories get told and who gets to tell them. His game-changing style applies an old-world mastery of oil painting to the intimate, everyday lives of the people and city around him, elevating those the art world has historically left behind and breaking barriers for a new generation of artists. Forc, art is where conversations that might not be welcome in popular society begin. Drawing heavily from her personal experience as a child of Palestinian immigrants in America, Issa’s groundbreaking work blends traditional craft mediums – clay, fiber, embroidery, tile – with contemporary iconography to interrogate religion, politics, displacement and identity. A lifelong LA resident, Henry Fey combines a broad mix of digital and analog process – painting, collage, photography, airbrushing, screenprinting and more – to explore and celebrate the city and community around him. Both technically meticulous and free in form, Fey’s work opens up a new way of seeing the cityscape, spreading light on the “vibrant nestled in the grey.” To check out Henry’s, follow him @henry200021 and visit hfey.us.
