Former professional golfer Paige Spiranac has been named Maxim magazine’s ‘World’s Sexiest Woman’ for 2022 – and she celebrated by shutting down a troll with an awesome comeback that proves she has a great sense of humour.
The 29-year-old has amassed an Instagram following of 3.4million and counting, posting content of herself playing America’s greatest golf courses in short skirts and tight tops.

She’s the first sportswoman to take top spot in the magazine’s hot 100 list, which first appeared in 2000.
That year, actress Estella Warren won, while Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova finished fourth in 2004.
Spiranac’s career really kicked off in 2015 when she won the 100th Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship, finishing nine under par.

After an article that talked up her looks along with her golfing prowess, she gained 100,000 followers overnight and was overwhelmed with endorsement offers from golf and fashion labels, showcasing them briefly on her stint within the European ladies tour.
‘People say you’re promoting women to show off their assets or to wear less to get more engagement online. My message is wear what you want to wear,’ Spiranac told Maxim.
While many congratulated Spiranac on the prestigious cover award, one Twitter user believed she wasn’t pretty enough to be in contention for the accolade.
‘@PaigeSpiranac has a horse head. Honestly. Dude has a long face,’ they commented.
The 2022 Sexiest Woman replied with a photo from her Maxim shoot with a horse head Photoshopped in place of her own and the caption ‘Seabiscuit Spiranac’, referring to the famous American racehorse.
Earlier this month Spiranac was verbally insulted by a ‘Karen’ for wearing an inappropriate outfit at a golf course and ‘cried all the way home’.

‘I’m not like I wanna be on a golf course so I can shake my t**s around and have my a** flying everywhere, that’s not what I’m talking about … no one there had any issue with what I was wearing,’ the Instagram influencer said on her playing a round podcast.
The former division one golfer at both the University of Arizona and San Diego State says golf’s elitist attitude can have a negative impact on the game, especially the strict dress code rules for children getting into the sport.
She recently discussed the controversial Saudi-backed LIV golf league and her issues with PGA stars Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson joining up.
