Ravindra Jadeja once again put on a show at Edgbaston after India’s middle order fell like a pack of cards in the IND vs ENG 2nd T20 in Edgbaston. Coming into bat at 89/4, Jadeja saw the dismissal of Hardik Pandya off the very next ball, with more than 9 overs to bat and half the side down.

Initially taking his time, Jadeja stitched partnerships with Dinesh Karthik and Harshal Patel to take the game deep. The left-hander then unleashed his array of strikes, taking India past the 150-run mark. In the final few overs, Jadeja took on the England bowlers to take India to a competitive 170. The 33-year-old remained unbeaten on 46 off just 30 balls, hitting five boundaries.

Jadeja had incidentally scored his first overseas century at the same venue a week earlier, during India’s rescheduled 5th test against England. India were reduced to 98/5 when Jadeja walked into bat and the left-hander stitched a record partnership with Rishabh Pant to put India on top. He eventually got out for 104, his 3rd Test ton. The visitors, however, conceded a 378-run 4th innings defence top level the series 2-2.
