Arsenal will face a challenge to keep hold of Gabriel Martinelli this summer as Juventus prepare a swap deal with Arthur Melo for the Brazilian, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A side believe they can tempt Arsenal into letting Martinelli go if they offer Arthur in exchange, according to Calciomercato.
Arteta was believed to be interested in Arthur in January and the Gunners attempted to bring him to the Emirates before talks broke down.
Arsenal were reportedly concerned about signing the 25-year-old on an 18-month loan and were angling for a similar deal to the one they brought Martin Odegaard in on loan before signing him on a permanent deal.

The Gunners boss is said to still be keen on bringing in the Brazilian this summer and the Premier League club are believed to have revived their interest.
However, they will have to meet Juventus at the negotiation table with their best chance of securing his services hinging on letting Martinelli head in the opposite direction.
Max Allegri is believed to be looking to reinforce his front line with the Italian giants left in doubt over the futures of on-loan duo Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean in Turin.

The Old Lady will be left with a void to fill when Paulo Dybala leaves at the end of his contract
Juventus are also set to be left with a void to fill in attack with Paulo Dybala leaving the Serie A side when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Desperate to bolster his attacking ranks, Allegri is keen on Martinelli to add firepower to the Old Lady’s Serie A campaign next season.
Martinelli bagged six goals and provided six assists in 29 top-flight games for the Gunners this season as they agonisingly missed out on a top-four finish.

He arrived in north London for £6million from Ituano in 2019 and Arsenal are unlikely to want to see him leave.
His contract expires in 2024 and the club have reportedly been looking at extending his deal, offering him the No 11 shirt – previously worn by Mesut Ozil – to reflect his long-term status as a regular starter.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Arsenal are the only club to show interest in Arthur, giving them an advantage when it comes to talks with Juventus.
