La Liga Transfers: Arsenal out of favour star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed to terms to join FC Barcelona on loan. Several reports on Saturday claimed that the Gunners are ready to let their skipper join FC Barcelona on a season-long loan. Follow all the Football updates only on InsideSport.IN
However, Aubameyang will have to wait for the club to offload Ousmane Dembele first to free up funds to register him in the senior team. Dembele refused to take a pay cut or sign a new contract at Barcelona and is now all set to get frozen by manager Xavi. Offloading the French winger is of prime importance for the Catalans right now as it will only allow them to register new players. We are already on the deadline day and if Barcelona manages to ship out Dembele then they will be able to sign Aubameyang and also put an end to his misery at Arsenal.
It only depends on Barcelona outgoings to complete the deal. Arsenal already approved. pic.twitter.com/UBc6UJA3a0

Aubameyang has had a rough couple of months at Arsenal. He was first stripped off captaincy by manager Mikel Arteta for a disciplinary breach. The problem started when he returned late from a sanctioned leave to France back in December. Ever since the disciplinary issue, Arteta has often kept him on the bench during important matches and have also excluded him from the matchday squad. It looks like his time at Arsenal is well and truly over and hence a move to Barcelona looks like a viable deal for all three parties.

Aubameyang will be hoping that the change of club also brings a change in his fortunes. He will be hoping to make this Barcelona move work and feel that it can resurrect his career. The former Borussia Dortmund striker will hope to return as one of the best strikers in the world.
It is understood that Aubameyang was Xavi’s primary target in this January transfer window as he feels that the Gabonese forward will be perfect to lead the lines for the Catalans.
Some reports suggest that Serie A giants Juventus were also interested in the Gabon international but as they turned their attention towards Dusan Vlahovic, Barcelona got the free pass to get hold of the services of Aubamyeng.
The 32-year-old is currently in Barcelona to clear the formalities and the deal will soon be made official by the Catalans. FC Barcelona have been very active in the January transfer after they have bolstered their forward line to a great extent. Their best signing under Xavi has to be securing the services of Ferran Torres from Manchester City while they also brought back Adama Traore from Wolves. It is a homecoming for Traore who is a La Masia academy graduate. Overall with Aubameyang also joining the Catalans are once again looking like a formidable unit.
