Manchester United fans have hailed the impact of new interim manager Ralf Rangnick after watching their side beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Midfielder Fred became the unlikely hero with his stunning strike on 77 minutes handing the German his first win in the Old Trafford dugout.
The Brazilian has been a regular scapegoat for United’s in-different form this season, but had fans singing his praises once the final whistle was blown.

Fred ensured it was the perfect start to life for Rangnick at Old Trafford, with the 63-year-old having replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim manager until the end of the season.
After the match, United fans took to Twitter to hail the impact of Rangnick following the win.
One fan believed he could see a difference between the style of football right from the off.
@CharDuncker wrote: ‘Good start to the Rangnick regime. Clear what the plan is just need more training time to implement it across 90 mins. Players started to tire and intensity dropped after bright start. 3 points, a clean sheet and control of the game makes for a good afternoon for Rangnick’.
Another fan added: ‘Really good start for Rangnick. First half was very good and while it dropped a bit in the second, United were still on top. Better pressing stats, a clean sheet and some good individual displays – Rangnick will be pleased with that’.

Another insisted one of the major changes from Solskjaer to Rangnick was ‘Rangnick is giving instructions instead of asking for suggestions… ohhh the difference’.
An eagle-eyed fan enjoyed watching the new boss barking instructions to his players on the touchline.
While others were just happy with the overall display, believing the team were back to their best.
Fred also reaped the rewards not just for his goal, but for his outstanding contribution in the middle of the midfield.

Another added: ‘Was way too obvious that Fred would reap the rewards under Rangnick.
‘More than his goal, it was his know how to be at the right place at the right time to stop the Palace attacked from developing. Should be interesting to see him against better teams.’
