As Khawaja is a Muslim and his religion prevents him from drinking. He tried staying away from the Aussie celebration.

Australian captain Cummins noticed it. He immediately gestured his teammates to stop spraying the bubbly so that Khawaja can be part of team’s glorious victory celebrations.

Immediately he and Marnus Labuschagne called and gestured for Khawaja to rejoin the team.

The gesture was widely praised on social media, with the Australia captain’s gesture a sign of progress in the game rocked by scandals last year.
