Interestingly, the standby players for the World Cup, including Deepak CHahar, Shreyas Iyer has been named in the India vs South Africa ODI series. However, the trio was not picked for any of the ODI matches against South Africa, which starts on Thursday. It allows the players, who are currently playing in the Irani Cup, to leave alongside the Indian players.

Of the three pacers, they have chosen to go ahead with two left arm seamers for the training stint in Australia. Chetan and Mukesh are left-arm seamers. The duo has been quite brilliant in the domestic season as well. Kuldeep Sen has been another in form bowler for India.

As of now, Sen and Sakariya are playing in the ongoing Irani Trophy for the Rest of India squad. With ROI in good position, the match is heading for an early finish as well.
