Bangladesh to miss the experience of Shakib – The two-match Test series will begin next week on 15th of May and Sri Lanka will now try to take advantage as Shakib brings tons of experience on the cards. Shakib has represented Bangladesh on 59 occasions and has scored more than four thousand runs during his Test career. This includes a five hundreds and 26 fifties and will now serve time-out of the team.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ready for the challenge – The Test series starting on Sunday will start a string of challenges for Sri Lanka as they take on Australia after the two-match Test series while they will also face Pakistan in a home series. Bangladesh on the flip side will also be ready for the challenge, despite no official word on who will replace Shakib in the team. However they should be pumped up having recently been in good nick of form.

WTC points up for stake–The two-match Test series will serve as a perfect opportunity for both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to get some points in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). Sri Lanka recently were beaten by India, which comes as a big blow. They currently sit fifth in the table with two wins and two defeats while opposition and hosts Bangladesh sit ninth with one win in six matches.
