The final for the two teams turned out to be a perfect dress rehearsal ahead of the final. Himachal were five down for 194 in 41.4 overs before their captain Rishi Dhawan smashed 84 off 77 and fired his team to 281 at the end of 50 overs. Dhawan later took four wickets for 27 runs to wrap up Saurashtra for 204 in 46.1 overs.

On the flip side, riding on the century from Sheldon Jackson (134) Saurashtra posted 310/8 runs on the board. Tamil Nadu bowling unit boasting of Vijay Shankar and Washington Sundar were taken to the cleaners. After early blows, Baba Aparajith rose to the occasion, smashing his 7th List A hundred. Baba Indrajith (50), Dinesh Karthik (31 off 26) and Washington Sundar (70 off 61) came up with handy contribution as Tamil Nadu performed as terrifically as a unit to gun down the target.

  1. Rishi Dhawan: The Himachal Pradesh captain is the leading wicket-taker for his team. At an economy rate of 5.96 he has 14 wickets to his name in 7 matches. Rishi Dhawan, who has been part of KKR, MI and PBKS in the IPL, has also amassed 416 runs at an average of 69.33

2. Prashant Chopra: The opener has scored  435 runs in 7 matches at an average of 62.14 but his strike of 72.98 is a concern.

3. Mayank Dagar: The left-arm spinner is the second most successful bowler for Himachal Pradesh. 10 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 5.53. Both Dhawan and Dagar will have to bring their A-game to negate the threat from a very potent Tamil Nadu line-up.

Star-studded Tamil Nadu look firm favourites to lift the trophy but gutsy fight from confident Himachal Pradesh can be expected.
